During his questioning of Vanita Gupta for Associate AG, he pointed out some of the ridiculous things the nominee has said in the past, and applies them, exactly to her:

    tl;dr version:

The whole session is here. Remember Cotton's a lawyer (military), and he never asks a question to which he doesn't already know the answer or that he knows the respondent can't answer:

        You misspelled "pathetic."

Woman nominated to be #2 at DOJ: "Legalize all drugs"
        Cotton: "Legalize all drugs?"
Woman nominated to be #2 at DOJ: "I never said that."
        Cotton: "Here it is."
Woman nominated to be #2 at DOJ: "Er....

Woman nominated to be #2 at DOJ: "All institutions are racist."
Cotton: "Which part of the Biden White House is racist."
Woman nominated to be #2 at DOJ: Er.....

          It's not funny at all.
Was there a time in American history, where such an exchange would have resulted in embarrassment, where it would have been obvious to everyone that this person is not suitable?

The danger is that the subject areas in question have crossed some sort of "not illegal but doesn't matter" line or "not believable but doesn't matter."

And she will still be praised by people.

Yes, by left leaning Americans. I read recently somewhere that their psyches were dumpster fires, and honestly, I couldn’t agree more.

            Education is extremely important.
