Auto-Disable Syringes for vaccinations
-
Something I was not aware of before: auto-disable syringes. It's designed to physically make a syringe unusable after the first injection.
UNICEF says It's important because in some third world countries syringes get reused leading to transmissions of diseases.
I have not paid attention to this aspect of syringes when undergoing vaccinations in the past. Does any one know if the use of auto-disable syringes is common in the USA?

That is interesting. Makes a lot of sense, but was not aware of it.
I am just guess, but if the price is higher for auto disable syringe, probably not used much in the US. US seems to have a pretty good monitoring system for syringes.
However, for drug addict people, they may be a good thing. So, maybe in locations where clinics work with those type of people, they are used more?
