Vaccine Question

Any reason why they aren’t testing people for T-Cell or Antibody Immunity before receiving the vaccines?
Vaccine appointments are what? 10 days to 2 weeks out? Any reason why we aren’t having those that have had COVID be tested for immune response before receiving the vaccine? These people are the least at risk and it would be easy enough to run the test in the 10 days before their appointment... How many have been given the vaccine unnecessarily? My guess is a good number...
Don’t get me wrong, they would want the vaccine eventually, but let’s get Jon, Aqua, and our most at risk taken care of before our least at risk.

I had the virus and, I assume, developed antibodies
Then I read that I should get the vaccine anyway, but I could wait 90 days.
They came up with 90 days because that was the best guess of the minimum number of days protection I would get from the antibodies.
Then my doctor said I should get the vaccine after 30 days. So I waited 30 days and then scheduled it for next week.
I think the idea that I should get the vaccine is just caution driven by ignorance about how this virus behaves.
Some questions:
How does the immune system control the number of antibodies in the system? Somehow it must monitor the number of antibodies and make more as needed. And not make more if not needed.
If my antibodies are at the max level, is the vaccine a waste?
If my antibodies are not at the max level, why not?
Is a level of antibodies actually maintained or does the immune system just remember how to make them?

Capacity. Don't have it and ain't worth the effort to ramp up.
Easier to vaccinate by group, with ramped up vaccine production.

I think it’s a good question. I wouldn’t want them to do tests, it’s just another thing to add to the logistical difficulties of getting vaccines in hundreds of millions of arms.
I do think they should have asked people to wait until after every high risk group went first. Compliance wouldn’t have been perfect, but even an honor system would have helped.

Well, I’m planning on having the tests in April. Mostly I’m just curious to see if I had it at some point without knowing it. I doubt it will effect whenI get the vaccine since I will be so late in the game.
