@George-K We cross posted.
But I'll add, unlike Bloomberg, he can't afford to purchase a one-time exception from the city council and get that third term.
-
I don't know what De Blasio will do next. It's not inconceivable to see him in a urban-related administration role at some point, maybe when enough time passes for replacements to happen, or under a Harris admin. I could see him doing HUD at some point. But I'm not sure what new elective offices he could realistically aspire to at this point.

The first event I canceled was Saturday the 7th in Boston.
Rachel had come back from LA on the 2nd or 3rd, and those early cases in Westchester appeared while she was gone.
-
I'd just flown back from the UK on the 2nd, and I was pretty sure what was coming, although I'd totally underestimated how long it would last. I'd spent a week going on slightly paranoid visits to see my mum in hospital, and you could see it ramping up over there - I think they were maybe a week ahead of the US. I felt like I just flew back in the nick of time.

You don't know what you don't know.
Whoopee...

President Trump would still be president today if
1, There was no COVID or
2. He was able to adapt to COVID situation as it changed, -

I think it's fair to say that he had a special ability for not knowing what he didn't know.

Don't buy the MSM narrative.

You know who's leading the race for his replacement?
Andrew Yang!I know! Isn't it great?
Even if he doesn't win, this gives him national attention like he didn't have before.
ETA: Silly man. Imagine wanting to hand out money to all working Americans. Tcha!

He's term limited out anyway.
You know who's leading the race for his replacement?
Andrew Yang!
It might be interesting to see what Yang does. Interesting guy.

No one would have done a damn thing differently than he did. They might have communicated better but the actions taken were on.

I think this relates to my #2 from my post above
adapting to COVID as the situation change and we learned more.

Today's the day the shit hit the fan. Trump's address to the nation announcing the 30-day travel ban to Europe - https://www.c-span.org/video/?470284-1/president-trump-travel-europe-us-suspended-30-days-uk
and more importantly - the NBA suspends the 19-20 season - https://www.nba.com/news/nba-suspend-season-following-wednesdays-games
I still think that and the NCAA canceling March Madness the next morning was when it really hit home for most people. These businesses were forgoing billions of dollars in revenues and losing out on how many millions of dollars already invested into those events - https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2020-03-12/ncaa-cancels-remaining-2020-winter-and-spring-championships
It really all started in the US 1 year ago today.

And WHO officially declared the pandemic.
If there's an official day of remembrance, it will likely be March 11th.
