We lost power for a week during the ice storm. I looked at the pizza in the refrig, and added some mayonaise to it. Looked OK to me, but with a kind of funny glossy brown. Note to self: NEVER eat pizza out of a refrig that has been without power for a week.
Serves you right for putting mayonnaise on pizza. Geez. You're worse than Mik.
Okay, maybe not worse, but up there.
Kidding, you know. I'm glad that misery is in your rearview. Agree with Brenda -- get outta that time warp! It is doing a serious goof on you.
-
@rainman oh no! Food poisoning is miserable. Hubby and I got it from my mother's potato salad. After her party she was so proud of serving potato salad that she had taken to another July outdoor event a week or more earlier. Of course, she told no one of this at the time she served it to us.
Hubby and I were sick for three weeks.Yeah, don't trust food that hasn't been stored properly, even if your mom serves it to you. and if it has mayo in it, ask when it was made, even if your mom made it.

It is not that President Trump was wrong, he was actually physic! He was predicting one year in the future!! Give him credit for that!!

@rainman Wow!!!!!!
Glad that you are feeling better! Definitely no fun to be sick.
Thanks TG!!
And, as Jon and Ax have pointed out, Trump was the greatest president ever, and now I think you are coming around as well!
wink-wink emojiI hope you are able to convince Larry to come back! Maybe we should all send him a message, or maybe we could get Biden to send him an email about Trump. Something like that, I may be a bit mixed-up, but something should work to get our friend Larry to chime back in at TNCR. He is missed, right TG?

Some miss him as much as David Burton.

Yeah, heโs toast next election. I was thinking about this. The upcoming local and state elections are going to be a bloodbath. Even/Especially at the school board level.

He's term-limited. He can't run again.
-
He's term limited out anyway.
You know who's leading the race for his replacement?
Andrew Yang!
-
@George-K We cross posted.
But I'll add, unlike Bloomberg, he can't afford to purchase a one-time exception from the city council and get that third term.

I don't know what De Blasio will do next. It's not inconceivable to see him in a urban-related administration role at some point, maybe when enough time passes for replacements to happen, or under a Harris admin. I could see him doing HUD at some point. But I'm not sure what new elective offices he could realistically aspire to at this point.

The first event I canceled was Saturday the 7th in Boston.
Rachel had come back from LA on the 2nd or 3rd, and those early cases in Westchester appeared while she was gone.

I'd just flown back from the UK on the 2nd, and I was pretty sure what was coming, although I'd totally underestimated how long it would last. I'd spent a week going on slightly paranoid visits to see my mum in hospital, and you could see it ramping up over there - I think they were maybe a week ahead of the US. I felt like I just flew back in the nick of time.
