Crazy Cat Lady

I have a FB "Friend" whom I met while searching for a Maine Coon breeder.
She has some Maine Coons as well...
In the back is Remmy. The black one is Diesel. The silver and grey one is Bentley, and Cheeto is the orange one next to him.
These are expensive, very expensive cats.
Boris is a great companion, gentle, tolerant and devoted.
But...8 of them?
Yeah, crazy cat lady.

The vet bills!
We have a "wellness plan" for Boris and Maggie. It's about $40 a month and covers all vaccinations, labs, routine visits as well as any unscheduled "drop in if you have a question" vet visits. For Boris it also covered his neutering. Money well spent, IMO.
They also are insured for about $35 a month.
But quadruple that!
(The Bee is uninsured and has no "wellness plan")

The litter boxes!
Oh, we have a Litter Robot that Boris and Maggie use. It's great. Not cheap, but I never have to scoop litter. Just empty the bin about every 4-5 days. Easy-peasey. Again, not cheap, but it's a godsend.
The Bee uses another litter box (most of the time). We have a Arm and Hammer "Sifter" litter box. Also very easy.
I know a few people who have multiple cats that have as many as 4 Litter Robots.

That's the only way to go with so many cats.

I really miss having a cat around the place. Unfortunately, we've been told we probably shouldn't risk it with a Jack Russell in case he forgets that it's a friend.

Get a Maine Coon. At 14 months, he'll be 20lb and the dog will know who's in charge.

My old watchdog is a-gile, mo-bile and hos-tile.
Hate to argue, but that 75 pound dog would eat that cat. And I mean that literally.
I've seen a full grown Tom bow up on her, and the only thing left was the head.
