How do you pronounce "Parler"?

I've heard people refer to tweets comments on Parler referred to as "Par-lays". As in "Parlez-vous français ?"

Does that mean that the platform should be called "Par-lay" instead of "Pahr-ler"?

My understanding is that it was originally Par-lay but people kept mispronouncing it so they conceded the point and started calling themselves par-ler.

The tweets are still called par-lays.
