Wait, what? So does that mean their apps will be free, too?

The text in the screenshot says "this information is Microsoft confidential", and here we are talking about this supposedly 'confidential' information posted on the public Internet. 😄

Oh no! They might kick Copper off their store!

I am also curious if there is an equivalent for a policy like this by Apple Inc.

@Copper, do you know if iOS apps developed and distributed under the Apple Developer Enterprise Program are also all distributed at 'zero' cost to the folks who download them?

It would make sense to me since those apps would be for enterprise "internal use" only and there is not much of a use case for company to charge their own employees/contractors to use a company-internal app. Though I wonder if this is a valid comparison to Microsoft's "App Store for Business" or "App Store for Education" scenarios, whether those apps are also for "internal use" only by employees/staff/students of specific institutions.

I wasn't even aware that there were "Business" and "Education" versions of the Microsoft App Store.

Note, the "Windows 10" version of the store does not require a zero price.

So I looked and there were a couple of my Apps in the "Business" and "Education" stores. I have had these Apps in the "Windows 10" store for years. And they remain in the "Windows 10" store with non-zero prices.

As far as I know my income from the "Business" and "Education" stores is zero, so I'm not going to miss them.

I am planning on being completely out of the App Store business by the end of the year, so I'm not worried about it.

For iOS Apps with Apple, they do ask if I would be willing to allow them to use the Education Discount for my Apps. I believe I have always been willing to let them give the Education discount, I can't remember if I have actually given that discount to anyone.
