How is it in your neck of the woods? Have several friends in Texas freezing in the dark.
I've got power. But I heat primarily with wood. The only heater I'm running is a small electric heater in the outside storeroom for my outside dog. We're fine. I'm supposed to work 1-9 at the hospital tomorrow and I need to drive 20 miles (with a bridge crossing)...That might be interesting...
Had one guy die in South Louisiana from a fall. Another homeless person froze last night in Shreveport.

AOC opines:
To be fair, Ted Cruz has also got no shortage of egg on his face after his previous Tweets about California...

To be fair, Ted was criticizing exactly the policies that got Texas in trouble. That doesn't absolve him of some deserved shame, but his point stands, even if it is in his home state.

Actually, what Ted was doing was making political capital out of tragedy, just as AOC was. And now he's been bitten.

That's a bit odd. Typically I expect data centers to have backup generators. So it's got to be more than just issues with electrical power supply that got the data center shut down.

The best exercise program is the one you actually do. That's part of it.
The 15th and 16th holes both have island greens out in the creek/swamp, you drive over a small bridge to get to them. There are bald eagles, egrets and a great heron that can almost look you in the eye if standing next to you.
The solitude is pretty nice at sunrise.

It's not just wind-power that has taken a beating. Coal, nuclear and natural gas contributions have actually been reduced by more than the wind power.
