Bhutan, a nation with a population of 760k, registered its first and only COVID-19 death on 2021 January 7. This article tries to examine why Bhutan, a poor country with half the doctor/population ratio recommended by the WHO, managed this impressive pandemic management record.

It goes with what a lot of Asian countries have done, and have relatively low count of COVID
100% (or close) mask wearing
mandatory arrival quarantine
extensive contact tracing <-- very important
Hygene
social distancingWhen i flew back to Thailand, 14 days in a hotel room. Meals delivered to your door. PCP COVID test 4 times during the quarantine. Extend the "bubble" around the whole country.
On another note, Bhutan would be a very cool country to visit. But, they do make it hard to visit. They limit the numbers and as they dont want "backpacker" type tourists, they require you to spend at least USD $250/day (I think that is the number) while in country.

Great painting of Bhutan. Might go on the bucket list.
