@loki said in Trump‘s own staff indict Trump:

My god if he survives this impeachment what are some people going to do? I fear for their mental health. You would think it’s the end of the world with all these threads.

Clearly you weren't around for the circumcision debate, if you think this is bad.

The circumcision debate can never end well by the nature of the debate. You are insulting your opponent's parents and their own parenting decisions. You are also potentially insulting their religion and their sexual ability. It just can not end well.

Yes, Trump's delusional claims of election fraud caused the few loonies to go violate the Capitol after entering through the unguarded doors.

      "Existential"? No.

No, they won't. They're safely entrenched in pop cultural ideas. Which are that it was a coup, or an insurrection, and definitely existential.

Until they become conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.

Good. So how do you sell the 3 doofusses hypothesis to the crowd so it becomes the dominant narrative of popular culture?

I don't. I am not sure it's three doofuses. I think it was a small number, and I think pop culture didn't back it up.

                    200 arrests so far.

Those 3 doofi clearly brought along their friends and family.

"They took the dramatic step of resigning after they recognized the clear link from Trump's lies to the violent insurrection".

No, I disagree. They took the dramatic step of resigning after they realized it was the obvious move to disassociate themselves from social and political toxicity. Let's not turn it into a morality play, which very obviously it is not. Just like Mr Mattis, way back when.

By all means, increase the number of arrests to prove you're right.

Okay, so let's say a few doofusses (or, more formally, doofi), give or take close to a couple of hundred. Not quite a multitude to feed but a few loaves and a couple of fish probably would have sufficed.
