If you're ever in the state capitol building down here, you look out the top floor on the back side of the building and see miles of chemical plants. Probably some of the best jobs in Baton Rouge...People throw parties when their eighteen year old kids land jobs in those plants. Of course, there is that pesky cancer thing...

But those plants are mostly petrochemicals. For a lot of basic chemicals, and some specialty chemicals, we depend on China. BIL was telling me this morning, his company is depending on a container shipload of specialty chemicals in July.

No ship, and their could be some mighty sad paper manufacturers in North America.

Just another example of globalism gone bad...

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

      Cheap ain't always cheap.

So maybe our grandchildren won't pay the price for those cheap goods after all.

We'll start paying the bill now.

I keep thinking back to Perot in 92 - 'the giant sucking sound'.
