Got my appointment for next week just this morning. It's a pretty painful and uncoordinated process in Ohio. Every vaccinator has a different system and protocol and you have to sign up for several to give yourself the best chance. Phone lines do not work the way you were told and you have to call multiple times.

Illinois is a mess as well.
I signed up via the Crook County website, and there's nothing available in February. I called, and all they did is take the same info you put in the online site - worthless.
I'm hoping one of my docs in the 'burbs or at Northwestern will be able to get us in soon.

That's what happened with me - my doc group sent me a message to make an appointment. even then it was pretty labyrinthine to actually get it.
But at least we can now plan to go on to Alabama, although we will have missed half the month we paid for.

One drug chain has it so you enter your zip code and then the distance you'd be willing to travel. They then list all of the locations within that regions - say 30 or so. You then merely choose each individual location and click through to ever single day to see if there are any appointments available. It only takes about 90 minutes a day to see if there are any locations offering a vaccination.
Clearly, a well thought out system to entertain people with something to do while determining that no locations have vaccines.

We're at 8.7%, and we just expanded the list. Teacher vaccinations will start next week.

I don’t qualify yet, I’m only immunosupressed with a bilateral lung transplant. I need to wait along with the chemo patients since there are still some 18 year old grocery stock boys and accountants at the Port Authority that haven’t been vaccinated yet.

Not a lot.
The wife is immunosuppressed and no allowances have been made for that class down here.
Kinda dumb, but that's the way it is...
