@jon-nyc Guess you guys will have to stay at home and hunker down. That will be a difficult adjustment!

        Ha.

I do have to bring some food in from the outside freezer (it’s in the shed, will get snowed in) and bring my second car in the garage.

Snow blower is gassed up already.

You have to go a panic buy goods because FOMO on every level. It matters not that the roads will be clear on Tuesday and all the stores will be open.

The only thing that blows is clearing the snow from your property. That’s where all the prep should be occurring.

Local TV will talk about nothing else for 24 hours, and send their intrepid reporters out where they can get in the way of the ploughs and show us video of stuff that we can get from looking out the window.

Why something that happens 2 to 3 times every stinking winter creates so much excitement for local journalists is completely beyond me.

            I was only joking

Mother Nature is the only thing that.unites us and we all want to tap into that feeling of oneness in awe of the thing that can’t be tamed. Frightening and beautiful.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

It's a snow-storm, not a Great White Shark in the local swimming baths.

One of these days I will spend a couple of weeks in Buffalo in the winter. I need to see 6 feet of snowfall...

We used to get the Buffalo local news when we lived in Ontario. It used to make us feel slightly better about our lot.
