    LA Mayor Garcetti

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is certainly younger than 65. And he isn’t a healthcare worker.

But the mayor is on the front lines of the pandemic response, according to aides. So Garcetti, who turns 50 next week, received a COVID-19 vaccination last Thursday.

Garcetti spokesman Alex Comisar said the mayor got his first dose after he spent five days at Dodger Stadium helping with the vaccination effort and “directly interacting with hundreds of Angelenos each day.”

“The medical personnel strongly recommended that he receive the vaccine as they have recommended and provided for other field staff and volunteers at the site who have close contact with clients,” Comisar said.

    Some Canadian

The now-former president and CEO of a Canadian casino company and his wife are the couple accused of breaking Yukon COVID-19 rules and chartering a plane to the small community of Beaver Creek to receive doses of the Moderna vaccine.

Rodney Baker, a 55-year-old who was then president and CEO of the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, and Ekaterina Baker, a 32-year-old aspiring actress, both received tickets at the Whitehorse airport on Jan. 21, according to court records. Rodney Baker resigned from his positions Sunday.

Yukon Community Services Minister John Streicker told CBC Monday the couple arrived in Whitehorse on Jan. 19. However, instead of completing a mandatory 14-day self-isolation period, the Bakers on Jan. 21 chartered a flight to Beaver Creek, a community of about 100 people that is located roughly 450 kilometres northwest of Whitehorse near the Alaska border.

    Some Mexican

A popular Mexican TV host is being lambasted for travelling to Florida to receive a Covid-19 vaccine ahead of health workers in one of the world’s worst-hit countries.

Juan José Origel, who is popular for hosting shows such as Con Permiso TV, La Oreja and Hoy, shared a picture of himself getting the jab in Florida and thanking the US government for the opportunity.

“Already vaccinated!! Thank you usa it's sad that my country did not offer me that security!!!!” he wrote.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
