Hey, LuFin's Dad! This'll raise your BP - treating the flag.

One job I had as a teen was working in the base laundry (glam, I'm tellin ya). There were a lot of Italian nationals working there. One time I saw two of them folding a flag. One of them dropped his end and the flag fell to the ground.
I went to the supervisor and told him what I saw, thinking he would make arrangements to take the flag out of commission -- burn it or by whatever current means. He looked at me kind of quizzically for a minute like isn't that adorable, and said, don't worry about it, just go on back to your station. That's how I learned the whole flag-can't-touch-the-ground thing was more honored in the breach.
Do we know that receptacle is for trash? Might it be for laundry, or for items which require to be transported elsewhere?

I’m stuck on the transition of power comment. The power in the executive and both houses of Congress at the time of the cleanup was the same it had been since January of 2019.

I agree. That was a cheap-ish shot. Not why I posted it however.
But the power in Congress (the new Senate majority) transitioned 3 days before the riot - on Jan 3.

Nope. GA results AND a new VP were required for that. Even the GA results themselves weren’t sufficient when Pence was the tiebreaker. McConnell led the senate until last week.
-
Let’s just hope the confederate flag that one of the traitors brought into the house was cut up into little squares and stacked neatly next to the each of the toilets.

You're right.

It is interesting. My understand is that the US flag should not be worn on clothing, but it seems to be everywhere on clothing and hats everywhere
-
@George-K I **AM ** deeply offended.
I was also deeply offended by all the ads has wearing flag t-shirts and hats and other paraphernalia.

@loki I’m not sure I understand your question...If a flag was used during an insurrection does it make a difference to who? The insurrectionists? The general public? And what kind of a difference? Does it make it better? Like “Well, they tried to stop the certification of electors but they were wearing flag t-shirts so they must not be too bad...” ? Or do you mean, “It was bad enough what they did, but to do it under the guise of patriotism and the flag is worse!”?
If it’s the latter, I agree. Glad they are going to jail.
Have they arrested the guys that trashed the Steinway store in Philly yet?
