What percentage of those Americans know where their fruits and veggie harvesters come from? The ones in this area have tried hiring locals--specifically those who lost their jobs from the shutdown. They don't want the work.

Gonna be too late by the time they are. Lot of these crops have very narrow harvesting windows.

Corn, wheat and other stuff that's machine-harvested is going to be okay. But corn kinda sucks on the nutrient spectrum and if you're gluten-averse, well...
