You could read it that way, and many will. Many also read that he told white supremacists at the Charlottesville thing that they were very fine people. These interpretations happen. It's pretty easy to avoid being painted on the wrong side of those things, just be woke.

It’s also clear who he was talking to on the 6th. But I’ll be charitable and put you in the ‘denial’ category rather than disingenuous or ignorant. (Though you were apparently ignorant about the video before I posted it)

Those are not the same thing. I don't actually know whether Trump is a racist or not, but I've certainly heard him pander to people's xenophobia. His early speeches about Mexican immigrants were extremely depressing.
Of course, you can choose to interpret what he says differently, and make excuses for his pandering. It's easy to avoid being painted as overly woke, and make excuses for the fact that he's a cunt.

Of course I hadn't seen the video, I don't follow politics. What is my denial of? That he was talking to Capitol marauders? Ok, maybe he was being charitable getting to their hearts by telling he loved them, while unequivocally telling them to stop and go home. At what point do you concede that he unequivocally told them to stop and go home, jon?

Politicians pander. I think most people know that. But I think the border issue, which every country deals with, was always an ignored one, before Trump came along, and I don't mind the direction it went. Open borders may be good, in fact I'm aware of some particularly savvy people who believe that, but I'm not entirely convinced of that. Neither is pretty much any other country. I'm sorry about the "rapists" rhetoric, it was too far.
