Now, a few small notes...
The man was not carrying the pistol. It was in the console of his car. When asked if he had a weapon in the car, he was dumb enough to be honest.
Secondly, depending on the model, that's either one mag and a few stray rounds or two ten round mags, one for the weapon and one spare.
