RIP Peapod
-
I was an early customer of PeaPod when it became a thing in the mid 1990s, iirc.
It was kind of interesting to see them transition from a company that delivered from local grocers (like Instacart) to an outfit that had their own warehouses. I dabbled with WebVan for a while ("Yeah, we lose a bit on each deal, but we make up for it in volume") but always came back to Peapod.
I rarely had issues with them, but I guess with the advent of Instacart and Shipt, they couldn't compete.
