When Brenda gets a tad frustrated with a retailer.

This is today's online communication with a store 30 minutes from where I live.
Connor
Hi, thank you for contacting XXXXX. How may we assist you today?Brenda
Hello! I called the store January 22nd regarding a pick-up order of that same date. A bag of product was missing from our order, and the staff was able to locate it while I was on the phone with them. I was told the manager would be calling me the next day, January 23rd, regarding this. I have yet to receive a call or hear anything from the store. Could we please get this resolved? Thank you.Connor
Oh dear, that's no good! What was the order number for your order and what items were you missing?Brenda
I will go look all that up again. I gave it to the store on Jan 22
Order number: xxxxxxxx
Order Date: Jan 20, 2021
Estimated order total: 355.31
missing items:
2 bunches fresh cilantro
dole celery hearts
two cartons of Josies Organic baby spinach
That is the list of missing items.Connor
Understood, we have your order pulled up here. If you would like we can submit a report to the store's Store Director letting them know of the missing items so that they can get back in contact with you to resolve the issue.Brenda
Yes, and they can add a carton of one dozen chocolate chip bakery cookies, and a dozen Monster cookies. Thank you.Connor
I cannot promise that they will add those items for you, but I can put it in the report for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?Brenda
That's it for now. I look forward to hearing from the store director. Thank you!Connor
Have a nice rest of your day then!Brenda
You, too.
It's not about the money. It's about spending a chunk of my Friday evening looking for missing grocery items, going through all the grocery items again to get an accurate list of all that was missing, getting the online order number again (not on the receipt), contacting the store, waiting on the phone for them to find the missing bag, talking to the staff again, patiently waiting for a reply, and now having to contact them again.
Cookies shall be had.

Just curious ... when you pick up your order, do you also get a list the enumerates the items that are actually in containers you pick up? Something like a "packing slip"?
I can understand it if you order 25 things then get only 22 things because 3 things are not available, and it would be nice if the grocer or shopping service includes a list enumerating what's actually included in the packages you pick up. But if they enumerate the things as "included" on the packing slip but are not actually included, then that's bad.

Not to mention dealing with Cheerful Connor! Whose Cheer is unabated! And remains intact no matter what! Who has the @%#$*# nerve to wish you a "nice rest of your day!", leaving you fuming and consigning Cheerful Connor and the Store Director to the deepest rung of hell.

Yes, it was all supposed to be included. One entire bag was not put into our vehicle, but the online ticket said it was. We paid for it, but did not get it, and had no way of knowing until we had driven the half hour to go home and unpack it. With two of us unpacking it, I thought hubby had put those items away, and he thought I had. When I started making dinner, I discovered things were missing.

Cookies are good. I hope you and your family gets them Brenda.
I was going to ask for a bottle of wine, but hubby thought that might be too much. Besides, their wines aren't that great.

Hate that stuff. One would think the callow youth might understand that he did not resolve an easily resolved situation in any meaningful way. That is when I start reshaping his thinking. It is a skill I have honed over many years.
Don't worry, the corporate world and young AI researchers and computer programmers are busy replacing those callow young customer service representatives with Artificial Intelligence enhanced automated call center software. Very soon you will be applying your well-honed skills to reshape such AI system's machine learning parameters.

I couldn't believe the "Oh dear, that's no good!"
Who says 'oh dear' in today's world? Are they told to say that?
