Horowitz on Great Performances

All of the performances here have been shown before. The first time I heard the Polka de V.R. was when Horowitz gave a 1977 recital in Orchestra Hall, Chicago. I've never heard more gradations in tone from any other pianist. Fresh Dover sole plus asparagus is the key!

Love the Scriabin Op.8#12 from Horowitz's 1986 Moscow concert, probably my all favorite performance of that piece. Objectively it's a flawed performance (e.g., many wrong notes by modern concert pianist standard), and you can even argue that it started out rather weak compared to most other interpretations; but on the whole, I find it the most passionate, most emotionally expansive rendering of the piece.

It's OK @Klaus, its actually a video with many talking heads commenting on the performance, the historical, political, and artistic aspects of it, interspersed with video clips of Horowitz's performance. If it's only Horowitz's performance you're looking for, you're not missing much.
