      Guess what, you attack a police officer with a weapon you lose your job and go to jail. Do it on Federal property it is even worse.

      I see Illinois believes in bail reform however so I guess they all get to wander freely.

          How does “ Timothy Louis Hale-Cusanelli, 30 — described as an “avowed white supremacist and Nazi sympathizer”” have a security clearance?

          Either there is a big problem in security or there is a big problem in this story.

            Oh I get that I was just applying a use case to Ax’s bail thread and seeing how the pro reformers felt about applying it to the Capitol riots.

              @loki No bail doesn't mean no pre-trial detention for flights risks. It just removes the economic element.

                  @loki THey're not ending pre-trial detention in all cases though. It would just be more severe, like denial of bail today. (I presume)
