    The Tragedy of Trump’s Presidency

Trump Does His Part in Scandalizing the Presidential Pardon Power

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

      Interesting first article.

Good last line: "It was a presidency that did a great deal of good, with a president incapable of shedding his demons."

Couple of questions I have about the article:

How did the US leaving the Iran nuclear deal make Iran LESS likely to develop nuclear weapons?

I think leaving the TPP is a big problem. A big trade deal (not TPP) was recently signed by the Pacific area countries, and the US was not part of it. As the article mentions, this just gives China MORE power in the region.

For of a funny thought from me. When talking about the Israel peace agremeemtns: "Nearly 30 years ago, when I was prosecuting terrorism cases and Khartoum was harboring al-Qaeda, the suggestion that Sudan would make peace with the Jewish state would have been inconceivable." Well, you could say that about a lot of things. Who would have think that 35 years ago, saying the USSR would dissolve would have been inconceivable. Things happen. LOL

No one has ever been able to answer that question, even before the deal was struck. I think the idea, always unspoken, was that we’d eventually go to war with them and the deal takes us off that track.

As for TPP McCarthy sort of half concedes it was a mistake.

        You were warned.

I've been looking forward to seeing some retrospective reviews of the administration. That's a good one.
