It’s a fantasy to think splitting would result in 2. More likely we’d fracture like the Western Roman Empire.

Either way, it would accelerate China’s rise to world dominance by a century.

    You were warned.

The British have a lot of experience with splitting up former colonies - maybe you should ask them for assistance.

It's always worked out really, really well.

        I was only joking

Also, as I said previously, the sentence that begins with "25% of Americans believe..." rarely ends well.

The basic unit would have to be below the State level.

It should probably be a facebook group.

And you can change your group weekly.

Or create your own group just for yourself and buy your government services as needed.

Every group could have it's own army, navy, administrative and legislative and justice departments and IRS.

Depends on where they're at. If 70% of folks in Texas want to secede...

You know, we should probably separate into a bunch of smaller individual and sovereign states, but still be united by a governing body for purposes of trade and defense. We should also have some basic principles set as common law between these separate but equal states and assure some simple but basic rights and that's it. I wonder why nobody has ever thought to do so before?
