The nice thing is that the President doesn't get to decide alone. We just saw that already play out a couple of weeks ago.
Let's remember - not much has been accomplished legislatively while Trump has been President. A tax cut through budget reconciliation, justice reform, covid bailouts.
What am I missing?

If Manchin swaps parties he could be the GOP’s resurrection. Which could make him the next president.

I hate that people who don’t automatically fall into the party line are seen as the “deciding vote”.
The rest of the senators act like they have no agency. Republicans who supported $2000 checks because the President said it are so spineless. And there’s just as many on the other side.
Now they all magically oppose the $2000 and it’s up to Manchin?
What bullshit

Manchin only runs the senate on straight Democratic bills. This one has bipartisan support, its just that McConnell wouldn't bring it to a vote.
Of course the GOP senators that came out for it could change their mind to spite Biden.

Markowski says she may leave the GOP to become an Independent.

Grandstanding. Do you think she'll caucus with Schumer?
President Trump is a non-issue in 12 days.
