There's a very loud lady who lives nearby who had a Trump/Pence sign up on her front lawn.
I was interested to see whether she'd take it down after this week's events, so I walked past there at lunchtime.
The sign is still there, but now it just says 'Trump'. The 'Pence' has been painted over.
I must admit, I LOL'd.

I would have done the opposite, but that's just me.
Still, I see no awareness on the leftward side of how they were the Igor to Dr. Frankenstein in creating the monster. This has been a group effort on the part of America.

I once attended a high school concert and was seated 2 rows back from her. She certainly had strong convictions about on a wide range of issues.

I agree with you, Mik. The left are far from blameless, but the monster is who the monster is.
It is certainly quite possible for an equally dreadful figure to appear on the other team as a Presidential hopeful, and court a very similar appeal. Some of the people supporting them could currently even be Trump supporters.

Just be careful.
Many people who supported Trump, still do. Some rabidly. And there are much worse monsters in the weeds than Mr. Trump.
You know, I had a friend who spent many years in Central and South America. His take on the multiple revolutions down there, was that when people are pushed in a corner and feel like they have nowhere to go, they fight.
Trump was elected, because a lot of people felt they had been pushed into a corner and had no other voice. Those people are still out there, and the media along with many Dems, feel like they need to shove them in a box and shut the lid.
Might get interesting...
