"They’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop. This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware because they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna stop before Election Day and they’re not going to stop after Election Day. And everyone should take note of that. They’re not gonna let up and they should not."
- VP-Elect Harris

"If you are a person on the left, and night after night, and you quoted Chris Cuomo, but night after night you said we can contextualize the violence. Because ideology trumps accountability. Then you better say the same thing today. Do you really want to say, “Well you know what? These people have ideological causes so they should be exempt. I don’t think you want to do that."
- Victor Davis Hanson
"By the same token everybody has to take a step back. You can’t have a civilization, a democracy, when the Speaker of the House tears up the State of the Union address on national television like Nancy Pelosi did. You can’t have a civilization when Joe Biden says he’s going to unite us, but when people show up that he disagrees with at his rally he calls them chumps, ugly folk, or earlier, the dregs of society. Earlier he said antifa was just an idea when it’s committing violence nightly. So, everybody on both sides has to take a step back”

@george-k I enjoy reading VDH. Smart man.
Ironic you should say that, given all the pixels you’ve spilled contextualizing this recent violence. Did you read the first paragraph? Don’t you think that applies the other direction?

I didn't think you'd be able to defend it.

Prefer real jousting with Giuliani as your second? LOL
I thought verbal jousting was 90% of this forum
I think that cartoon is a good summary of the two sides in USA today
If the other side is for it, I must be against it, even if the other side makes good sense.
If the other side is against it, I must be for it, even if the other side makes good sense.
