Now I need to watch this series.
Be patient with it. Very patient.
The first 3 episodes are confusing AF, and you have NO idea of what's going on, or who the players are. Then, it all begins to click.

Ah! See I have watched the first two or 3 episodes more than once now. I keep falling asleep because it's late at night. I might have to initially attack this one during the daytime hours. lol

The names of the Rocinante drones. They are named after members of the band Rush.
Somehow the show just got even more awesome.

No chance there's going to be a Season 7?
The authors and show runners have said that "the door is open" to continue the story. They have also said that Season 6 ends on a "satisfying note." I can see that happening, with the presumed defeat of Marco and the Free Navy. Now, the ring gates are opened, and humanity can explore the galaxy. End of story. Satisfied.
But, that's not what happens. The third act is fantastic, and I hope it appears in some format. I could see it being a limited-run miniseries (8-10 episodes would do it).
(spoiler if you haven't read the books)
Book 7 jumps forward 30 years.
Laconia (where the kids are) is now a thriving world, and war breaks out between Laconia and Sol (with Mars, UNN and the Belt being soundly defeated). Duarte is using protomolecule tech to build super-powerful ships.
And.

Avasarala has died. The rest of the crew are aging and their final mission is to stop the war from expanding to engulf all the 1300 worlds opened by the ring gates.

The third act
?
Books 7, 8, and 9.
The way I see it, the first act was the discovery of the protomolecule, Mao's treachery, and the establishment of the ring gates - season1.
Second act is what happens after the ring gates open, beginning with the story on Ilus, the bombardment of Earth by Inaros, and finally the fight to defeat him. Also, the increasing irrelevance of Mars and the Belt.
Third act is what I outlined above.
