How he was mocked for that. This is a standard to which he held himself out of respect for his wife and their marriage. You might disagree, but it's not worthy of scorn or mockery.
He's been ethical (as far as I know) and loyal (as far as his ethics permitted).

This is just conjecture - but Trump has been pretty silent today. Based on his public comments, he may be even more nutso in private today.

I don't agree with a lot of what Mike Pence believes, but he's been an honorable VP, and a much, much better man than his boss. I've said a number of times that I've felt really sorry for him - what a shitty position to be in.
