Inexpensive year
-
I finished my expense analysis for 2020.
It was the least expensive year I've had since 2011. My expenses dropped by 35% from last year (that does not include income tax as an expense, but does include prop taxes).
Biggest decrease: Travel. (surprise, surprise)
Food expense increased a lot - that's the delivery. And maybe some better eating, not sure. But that remained true even after taking into account decreased restaurant bill.

I don't have detailed records to back this up, it just feels like my expenses for 2020 also went down, mostly due to decreased travel and eating out less. Grocery bills increased for sure, but more than offset by reduced restaurant bills. Car insurance went down a bit as my insurer automatically gave me discounts and reduced my premiums since late Spring.
