How long before we declare open season on such people?

Now that President Trump is leaving the White House, even Portland's mayor Ted Wheeler has said "enough is enough."

      Tool.

@jolly, for a guy who lies to say “politics ain’t beanbag,” one would hope that you can spot a crybaby when a politician acts like one.

In this case, Hawley acted like a crybaby. There is a 50 minute video recording of the entire “protest” that showed Harley exaggerated and cried wolf.

        Link to video

Where is the “threat”? None except the threat to democracy that the protesters accused Hawley is committing.

Where is the “Antifa scumbag”? None, Hawley throws out that word “Antifa” only as a red meat, there is nothing that indicates any of the protesters is Antifa.

Where is the vandalism? There is none, Hawley pulled this out of thin air.

“Trying to pound open our door”? Complete fabrication on Hawley’s part. Polite knocking, yes. “Trying to pound open”, no.

And “violence”? There is none. Hawley slit in this sentence “My family & I will not be intimidated by leftwing violence” in the same tweet but if you parse it carefully, you’d see that even Hawley is not claiming that the protesters brought violence or exhibited any violent behavior. He just put that sentence there hoping the more gullible people read it and think that somehow the protest has been violence.

You mean the guy who posts a video from the protesters and accepts their narrative above anybody else's?

You know, if I was a younger man, I'd whip your ass just on general principles. In most bars, there exists one guy, you just know that a good ass-whuppin' could change his outlook for the better. Call it a pragmatic enrichment program.

Sadly, I'm past that point. Youth is certainly wasted on the young...😄

More information in the video that allows for more accurate assessment of actually happened, more than a tweet for sure. Analogous to the videos from police officers body cameras compared to, say, a tweet from the district attorney.

Ax, that is the most ridiculous post you have made in over 15 years. You consider demonstrating outside someone's private residence to be OK and non-threatening?

I don't. I'd support mowing them down with a Ma Deuce. And I don't care what side the protestors are on. There are just some things that should never, ever be tolerated. Not for a second.

With a bullhorn, for about 15 people.

Also, the video was shot by one of the "demonstrators." As Jolly said, I wonder what was not included.

There are advantages to living in the South. Down here, a female with a newborn could have shot them down in the yard and she might have been charged with violating city noise ordinances...

I blame the police for tolerating this.

We can all count on the left to admonish these terrorists that are on their side. They are so courageous and they always stand up for what is right, no matter how many friends they lose.

                              Education is extremely important.

Protesting outside some public figures‘ houses is a Constituionally protected, time-honored American tradition. There have been no lack of such protests in the past, and you have never condemned them (examples of protests at the houses of Pelosi, Schumer, Clinton, Jeff Bezo, Rahm Emanuel, Gavin Newsome below), maybe becuase you have never heard of these protests. Why? Probably because these public figures recognize this First Amendment exercise and did not tweet about it like a crybaby as Hawley did.

                                  Protest outside Nancy Pelosi‘s house:

                                  Protest outside Chuck Schumer‘s house:

                                  Protest outside Clinton‘s house:

                                  Link to video

                                  Protest outside Jezz Bezo‘s house:

                                  Link to video

Protest outside (Chicago mayor) Rahm Emanuel‘s house:

                                  Link to video

Protest outside (California governor) Gavin Newsome‘s house:

                                  Link to video

Both Mik and I have condemned this practice on multiple occasions. doesn't fit your narrative, does it?

BTW, the last protest at Pelosi's home, complete with severed pig head, was done by Leftists.

That's not expressing constitutional rights. That's a threat of violence.

Your right to peacefully protest ends where my property line begins. None of the videos show demonstrators crossing onto private property, and several of them show a rather large police presence.

At Hawley's, the demonstrators were on his property (front porch) and there were, I believe 3 cops keeping that from happening again. When the demonstrators are at your front door, either knocking or pouring (you can believe whom you wish about this), that's threatening.

And don't get me started on restaurant "demonstrations."

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

That's because the implication was that it was in some way staged or fake. I had nothing to add in that respect.

But that was a weak, pathetic attempt to deflect.

I'm sorry, but if you haven't figured out personal positions after years of posts on a particular subject, you are either a fool or blindly partisan.

                                          I don't think you are a fool.
