A while ago I posted that I remembered writing an order "Pt. may have spirits fermenti (vodka) 30cc p.o. at h.s. MR x 2."
Mrs. George remembers a cardiologist visiting the nursing desk in the CCU and lighting up a cigar. There were ashtrays all over the place in every nursing station. And this was in 1976.
