@mark I was only 17, but my flight to New York from Munich got screwed up. For some reason my ticket wasn't assigned to a seat, and the only way they could get me back to the states was to put me in First Class.
Sadly, I was only 17 and didn't really appreciated it; although I do remember the wide seats on that 707.

On my 10 hour flight from Delhi to London, a passenger asked me to change seats so they could sit with their family, which I agreed to and moved. There were two kids in the row… sigh.
A few minutes later the flight attendant came to me and asked if I could exchange seats so someone else could sit with their kids, and moved me up to first class.
