On one trip to Portland, we were seated in the dining car across from a couple that looked to be about 10 years younger than us, and had a kind of "hippie" vibe.
The guy kept pulling out a notepad and writing something. We couldn't really see because of the way he held it.
Finally, at the end of the meal, I asked, "What are you writing?"
"Oh, I'm just drawing you guys. I do that with all the people I meet on the train."
Yeah, weird.

Nah, not necessarily. Or at least, if you drew yourself (and the kid wasn't a complete douche), you'd get it and not find it weird.
Everything creative is weird as shit to the folks who aren't familiar with it, even music.
