Musings on two Bond films

View to a Kill - the last one with Roger Moore. We found it very engaging and well paced. That is particularly important when watching with a kid. There's only so much storyline buildup he can deal with without getting fidgety.
Duran Duran did the cover. I remembered hearing the song on the radio in High School. Turns out it was the only Bond song that ever made it to #1 on the US charts.
Also, Christopher Walken was the bad guy.

Also, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. This is the one with George Lazenby after Connery stopped for a while (he came back for a few more after OHMSS)
Someone here said it runs faithful to the book. The story line wasn't as simple as others, and my son got pretty bored in parts.
Funny story - in the opening scene, he saves a girl's life. You figure he'll shag her then and there but before he can even get her name she speeds off in a car. He breaks frame, looks at the camera and said 'this never happened to the other guy'. We all laughed out loud.
Also the ending is quite melancholy. I knew his wife was killed at the end but didn't realize it was the final scene and it would end so somberly.
