It's Italian morning!

Going to make a double batch of that Spicy Calabrese Ragu for us and for some Italian neighbors.

Had no intention of getting up this early to start it though. Just worked out that way. It will definitely be a nap day.

Nice! I was just thinking about that yesterday as I pulled some ground pork out of the freezer for fried rice.

I love all day cooks where the kitchen smells so good, especially on a wintry day.

I used my last can of San Marzanos and a can of Red Gold and did a taste comparison. No contest - the San Marzanos are well worth the price.

Oh, man... we just took a jar of sauce over to a friend and just that few minutes out of the house cleared our sense of smell out. We walked back in and the sauce smell just hit. Oh yum.
