It’s good to see Mel Gibson working again

Definitely good to see him working. He's a good guy with some flaws. As I mentioned in another thread, I've been watching the LOTR trilogy recently. The king of Rohan was riding across the line of his army, preparing for a charge, sword out, tapping against the pikes of every front line pikeman. That was straight out of Braveheart, courtesy of the mind of Mel Gibson, as I recall from some Braveheart documentary. I remember a quote of Jodie Foster, "I knew the minute I met him, he would be special to me forever". That's a gay woman saying that, so I don't think it is his sex appeal. I also remember something Gibson said. Something about how authors write, chefs cook, and he is a movie maker, so he makes movies. I always appreciate what he has to say.

I though he was a wife-beater and rabid anti-semite, or is that mis-reported?

@doctor-phibes He's an angry man, and his recorded diatribes are legendary.

No, it's true.
You have a problem with that? -

You have a problem with that?Well, I guess as long as he's not part of the famous pop-culture liberal elite that are at the root of all that's wrong in Hollywood, then that's fine.

I don't know anything about his wife beating. Not sure that's a thing. He did verbally lash out, some of which were recorded, by the recipient, for leverage.

I find it's a bit of a turn off- same with Tom Cruise.
Admittedly, I'll listen to Miles Davis all night, and he was no better, but you know, he's Miles Davis.
And I know I haven't walked a mile in any of their shoes, but still...

I love the idea, and it has Walter Goggins. I’m all in when it streams.
I loved Walton Goggins in the Hateful Eight. I loved the character, and I loved how he acted it.
