I haven’t followed the court cases. I assumed it was just a bunch of whatever. Is there any thing interesting about all this? No I don’t believe the democracy was ever threatened so there would have to be some other reason. Are people really following?

Trump has tens of millions followers who believe what he tweets and believe he has a great case to make but no venue will give him standing.

They are unaware that when a judge does give him standing and lets him present his case he straight-up concedes that he has none.

Here is someone who has shown to be one of Trump's most able defenders pointing that out.

McCarthy: “But every time a court offers him an opportunity to establish by proof what he is promoting by Twitter, Team Trump folds. Why is that?”

          It’s a mysterie!

I'm unable to decide how I think about this -- whether the business constitutes a "threat to democracy". I'm inclined to think not. Trump will be gone, and all that will remain are the effects of his tenure -- which yes, will be considerable, but I believe fixable, eventually.
What worries me more as a threat to our democracy is the great number of low-information voters, particularly the low-information voter who digs his heels in and refuses on some sort of stupid principle to change his opinion, no matter how weighty the evidence.

The people who work to carry out the mechanics of democracy have definitely been threatened.

              https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/public-officials-threatened-covid-election/2020/12/13/680bd380-3be7-11eb-bc68-96af0daae728_story.html

State and local officials of both parties have warned that President Trump’s increasingly desperate tweets about election fraud are fueling the potential for violence as well as another ominous trend of 2020, in which public servants and others who disagree are targeted at their offices and homes with armed protests, harassing phone calls and stalkers.

Last week, an “enemies” list of state and federal officials who rejected Trump’s baseless election conspiracy theories floated up from the dark corners of the Web, with home addresses listed and red targets over their photos, the latest in a string of threats to public officials.

The list falsely accused swing-state governors, voting systems executives and the former top U.S. cybersecurity official responsible for securing November’s presidential election of “changing votes and working against the President” in a treasonous attempt to “overthrow our democracy.” The names from the list shared on social media included the hashtags #remembertheirfaces and #NoQuarterForTraitors.

                A threat to our democracy?

More like a fundamental right in our democracy.

If we surrender the right to be stupid we are doomed.

                Doomed.

The democracy has been threatened. That is so funny. An asteroid could hit us too. I laugh now when I hear it. Actually I get irritated.

You mean the Biden voters who were unaware of Joe's stuttering mispeaks, his son's influence peddling, his brother's influence peddling or were unaware of most of Joe's policy positions, as outlined in his speeches and on his website?

                    Those low information cattle?
