My daughter will be one of the first in line for the vaccine.

It will arrive at the hospital where she works today.

Last week she told me she probably wouldn't take it because now that she is in administration she spends less than half her time on the floor and she thinks the others should get it first. She works in the emergency department.

And she has life threatening allergies to many types of food.

Yesterday I finally got the rest of the story.

She is expecting my second grandchild in June.

    WooHoo!

There is very little data so far on the vaccine's effect on pregnant women. So, for now, in her opinion, the vaccine is not an option.

Now I have something to think about for the next 6 months.

She decided to take the pfizer vaccine this AM, so far, so good

My wife who is allergic to everything and is immunosuppressed took it on Tuesday. Felt nothing at time of injection. Arm was sore later in the day. Felt joint pain and fatigue on Wednesday and a little yesterday. Today, she seems a bit closer to where she was prior the vaccine. She would say that she is one of those people most likely to experience side effects. Two of her colleagues had little reaction at all.

And now she tests positive for covid. Just a sore throat and cough at the moment.

She hasn't had the second shot yet. Apparently one wasn't enough, I hope it helps with the severity.

I assume my grandson has it and he won't be born for another 5 months.

My DIL had it. New granddaughter is about 90 days away. I assume she'll arrive with antibodies.
