      So, I don't understand.

Is it an "American Cheese" product, as in a product related to "American Cheese?"

Or is it an "American Cheese Product" as in a product that's sorta like cheese made in America?

"Cheese product" is a chemical lab test with a smidge of milk added to it. "Cheese food" is how they label real cheese.

Real cheese would just be labeled 'cheese' in any sane world.

"Easy cheese" is another one that leaves me baffled.

I mean, who in the heck thought "Cheese is really nice, but it just requires so much effort....I know, let's put it in a freaking can!"

You are descended from a nation of people who don't like British food because it's too spicy and exotic, so don't start on about my spotted dicky.

Velveeta and salsa heated up in the microwave make an awesomely addictive and way too salty dip for tortilla chips which you pay for big time the next day if you also drink too much beer.

Is that some family wisdom passed down by family elders from generation to generation or is there a charming story behind you acquiring that wisdom?

Using the word "spicy" would have yielded fewer punchlines.

I've recently been eating something that is called 'Old Croc' cheese. It's Australian.

I initially assumed that it was named after an aquatic reptile beloved of our antipodean friends, however I'm beginning to think that it's actually produced by scraping the insides of plastic Australian footwear, after an evening spent chasing the Sheilas through the outback, or possibly outhouse.

As a safeguard against possible future shortages in case of emergency, I ordered powered milk, powdered eggs, and something called "Anthony's Premium Cheddar Cheese Powder". As I slog back toward a more or less stable state of health, I contemplate adding this "rich and pure cheese powder with no artificial coloring" to hot pasta, and we shall see what we shall see.
