Nutter was probably too strong.
Interfering busy-body was probably more accurate.
The same kind of people that think that getting drunk on Christmas Eve is disrespectful to teetotallers.
-
It’s rather prejudicial of the letter’s author to simply assume that the lightings are “Christmas lights.” S/he needs to be more openminded and consider the possibility that the lightings may not be religious in nature at all. Maybe the homeowners should put up more lights to clarify their messages?

Doesn’t sound very friendly.
How can you possibly say that? The letter talks about 'we' a lot. It's inclusive.
I do however find the spelling of "colorful" to be pretty fucking offensive. The rest of the English-speaking world manages to use the 'u', after all.

Well, the rest of the "English Speaking World" has English as it's first language to the tune of about 99M people, compared to the US 234M.

Three words: George Dubya Bush.

I never said he was deranged, but to say his first language is English is a bit much. How many more of the 234 million people you quoted would fall into the same category?
-
Hopefully the letter was a joke!

Actually English isn't my first language either. Really.
-
You grew up in a house that didn't speak English as first language?

One would never know from just hearing your voice.
