@George-K said in Symptoms (part 2):
Mrs. George tested negative.
Oh-oh, opposites attract, you better get tested.

All tests are not created equal. We had a patient about a week ago, that tested negative on the BD screening test.
Nice thing about small hospitals, the hospitalist walked down and sat down on a lab stool. Patiebt has classic symptoms, including the start of the typical pneumonia. So we referred specimens to Mayo and State Public Health.
Two bingos.
Lot of the rapids sacrifice sensitivity for specificity.

@jolly D3 is still symptomatic. Afebrile, but with a headache and wheezing. She's an asthmatic.
She tested last week, and found out this AM that she's negative.
Perhaps a community-acquired bronchitis or something.

D3 talked to her doc who suggested she get re-tested. He switched her to a different inhaler (Symbicort, which I had suggested), and she's a bit better.

She's still wheezing but less with Symbicort. Afebrile, and otherwise feeling OK. Got tested again yesterday AM.
