New Cookbook!

This absolutely could've been some bullshit publication produced in a pathetic attempt to capitalize on the nerd audience but It. Is. NOT.
This book is bad ass. So many great ideas, and every recipe is at least a little quirky—it'll include a small handful of ingredients I wouldn't think to add myself, but make each one unique. Never so weird you could never find them, though. Some are off the wall but sound great.
They also give you options for how O.G. you wanna be; stovetop cooking not canonical enough for you? Here you go, these are the dutch oven instructions.
Great fun.

What is an example of some of the food?

I'm sure it includes lots of root vegetables and some variation of boar.

Some of the dwarven recipes, yeah.
The shepperd's pie equivalent. Except they add dark ale instead of something like soy sauce, and eggs to the mashed potatoes. (You rice the potatoes, add the butter and some parmesean, then, mix in 2 uncooked eggs.)
Never done that.

There are five sections: Human, Dwarven, Elven, Halfling, and Uncommon.
What's in Uncommon? Moderately adventurous recipes for chili, stew, chicken wings, soda bread and the like.
