This is truly a once in a lifetime event - or more accurately a once in many lifetime events. Jupiter and Saturn will be extremely close as in - view them both in the eyepiece. Without visual aid they will almost look like a single very bright star - some are calling this the Christmas star. Enjoy this rare event and start watching them become kissing cousins now.

Same location, relative to each other, though low toward the horizon.

Right now, South West maybe 15 degrees above the horizon.

Saturn on the left, slightly higher than Jupiter
