Reading Chernow's biography of Washington (highly recommended)...he makes several comments about the portraits of Washington and how they reflect the state of his poor dental status (slightly hollow cheeks, etc). I think this is one of the portraits he was referring to, but I can't be certain.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

As Jon would say, I would be tapped out.

Jon would tap every woman on that list and possibly Louis XIV...

It's always seemed to me that average human features have changed over the past couple thousand years. Maybe I'm imagining things, or maybe it's nutrition and genetic mixing.

          Education is extremely important.

I thought so too but looking at this website I wonder how much is hairstyles, make up, clothes and freedom of expression.

well I think there's a lot of artistic license being employed in the "present day" pictures. Taken from portraits which in turn employed artistic license. When I see the facial reconstructions of ancient egyptians it strikes me more.

What would those people have looked like in the 1970s?
