      Timing is bad but the raise is totally appropriate for a governor of an expensive state.

      They’ll end up, after a lot of drama, with the same formula they use every time they have a trifecta: take away health care and food assistance from low income families and use the money to fund tax cuts for their donors.

            Unclear what options he had. The raise schedule was set through legislation last year. I suppose he could donate the raise.

              Bad optics perhaps, but he can fix it easily enough, as Jon suggested. This was set up before the pandemic.
