Coffee Hack

Anybody warm their mugs before pouring? Man, that brightens the whole cup!
-
It’s not just about heat retention. The coffee just plain tastes better.

This reminds me a bit of all the little things we used to get told to do when making tea - you have to heat the pot with hot water, then empty it, then add the tea, then the boiling warer and it's critical to add milk to the cup before the black tea and not the other way round. Then you have to stick your left finger in your right ear while you drink it (I cleaned that last bit up a bit) and sing the words of Land of Hope and Glory to the tune of God Save the Queen.
Oddly enough, it does seem to work.

Green tea:
Pour boiling water in an unwarned glass pitcher. Let sit for 1:30 to achieve desired temperature. Pour indirectly into clay pot, brew 20+5N seconds, where N is the number of previous infusions.Black tea:
You know what I should be embarrassed enough, what the hell have I become. -

No, it's just that water under rage can do some serious damage.

I imagine the pitchers in Aqua's house are surprised on a fairly regular basis.
