They are showing the Bidens going to mass at a DC church and talking about how he is a 'deeply religious Catholic'...who supports abortion?

Trump's goodbye rally was a bit surreal.

You can't be a deeply religious Catholic and support abortion. You just can't.

That's a Cafeteria Catholic. Not a deeply religious Catholic.

But you can use artificial contraceptives, have divorces (but just call it “annulment”), work on a Sunday, and still be a deeply religious Catholic, right?

Ah yes, and Catholics are very adept at pointing this out to their own. Judgmentally, completely unasked, and because the Church has no intention of altering its position on this, it's also completely pointless. Catholic Asperger's.

But unlike those afflicted with Asperger's, these Catholics never seek help for it. And as a result they remain intolerable boors. "Love thy neighbor" definitely includes how not to sound like a self-righteous assclown and navigate these issues politely.

Was that intended to be ironic?

Not to me. For god's sake. That Dr. she insists on using makes her enough of a jerk. For me she'll be FLOTUS or The Wife.

You can't be a deeply religious Catholic and support abortion. You just can't.

Not for what they believe, but with their complete disregard for how they come off, favoring the Bible instead of the very point of its existence. "Love thy neighbor" definitely includes how not to sound like a self-righteous assclown and navigate these issues politely.

Nope. I know plenty of Catholics, absolutely plenty, who think their righteousness exempts them from developing social graces. I don't understand why that is. Quite obviously it's unnecessary. How many rape victims have you browbeaten about having an abortion? I'm guessing none, ever.

                                          Please love yourself.
