I've seen a bunch of "free speech" sites spin up and crumble.
Reddit use to have next to no moderation, but people always push right against the edge of the rules.
One of the big sub-forums there to get banned was "jailbait" - where it was pictures of underage girls in non-provocative everyday situations. But, everyone knew why people were posting there. Now it's a pretty heavily moderated site.
Same thing with 4 chan, 8 chan then infinity chan, etc. We've already seen this pattern before (the Christchurch shooter was a bit poster on 8chan I think). They all keep cropping up, because the previous regime isn't "pure" enough.
That said - I know nothing about parler.
